Dr. Travis Parkulo

Dr. Parkulo is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgeries as well as orthopedic trauma. With a focus on restoring mobility and alleviating pain, Dr. Parkulo is committed to delivering exceptional care to patients suffering from hip and knee conditions.

Dr. Parkulo is originally from Beckley, West Virginia. He attended West Virginia University for undergraduate and graduate school where he studied exercise physiology. He attended medical school at Marshall University and while in medical school, he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and Gold Humanism Honor society. He then completed five years of orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Louisville where he was awarded the Gerhard Küntscher award. Following residency, he completed a combined fellowship with specialized training in adult reconstruction and orthopedic trauma surgery at Regions Hospital and the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Parkulo specializes in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee. He cares for common disorders such as arthritis, and treats complex conditions associated with hip and knee replacements including periprosthetic fractures, infections, and painful joint replacements. He performs a wide variety of procedures and surgeries including total hip replacement, robotic-assisted total knee replacement, and revision hip and knee replacement. In addition, he treats upper and lower extremity fractures, malunions, and non-unions. Dr. Parkulo has published numerous research articles in medical journals and has presented at multiple national conferences. He strives to stay up to date with current literature in order to provide his patients with the highest level of care.

Dr. Parkulo strongly believes in providing compassionate patient-centered care, helping coordinate non-operative and operative treatment plans with his patients in a team-based approach. His goal is to continue providing innovative and compassionate care by minimizing the suffering and discomfort associated with treatable conditions of the hip and knee.

During his free time, he enjoys golfing, craft beer, gardening, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
