My name is Judy Butler and Dr. Richard Sweet has given me total knee and hip replacements so that I can go places! I am able to go on outings with my Red Hat ladies, trips with my church friends and frequent the gentle hills of the Louisville zoo with my daughter and great granddaughter without the crippling pain that kept me from enjoying these simple activities! “My name is Jimmy B. I am a 67 year old retiree of the CSX Railroad. I am a high school sports official and have been officiating for 44 years. In July of 2012 I went to Dr. Goodin of Louisville Orthopaedic Clinic concerning pain in my right knee. After some treatment, together with Dr. Goodin, I realized it was time to get a knee replacement. My knee was shot! Officiating basketball is something I really love doing and just knew that this would end my career. Dr. Goodin told me that I should still be able to referee if I did what they told me. I had the surgery in July 2012 and by the first week of August I was officiating high school volleyball, and by the second week of November, I was officiating high school basketball. I had a limp from a torn ACL in 1986 and after replacement surgery, my limp was gone, the pain and aches were gone. I feel like a teenager again. I am so grateful to Dr. Goodin and the entire staff at Louisville Orthopaedic. They have been there for me all the way. “Sending kudos with regard to the treatment that I received through the Louisville Orthopaedic Clinic. I fractured my right foot (5th metatarsal fracture) in 5 places because of a fall down a flight of steps. On November 25, 2013, Dr. George Quill surgically repaired my foot. Being an active person, I was encouraged to do alternate exercises to keep up my strength. Each week that went by, I could tell that I was getting stronger. By mid-January, the crutches and boot were put away for good. Being able to walk independently allowed me to get out and enjoy the February snow this winter. Currently I am walking 4-5 miles every other day and look forward to trail running in the spring. I also want to commend the use of the Patient Portal. Whenever I had a question, I would use the Patient Portal to send an email. The big surprise for me was having my question answered with a follow-up phone call within 24 hours.” – Nancy C.

“My experience in your office of the past few months has been wonderful. I tore my gastrocnemius in April of 2017 and saw Dr. Kuiper. He guided me to healing, yet allowing reasonable expectations for a woman who is in love with the gym and working out. My calf eventually healed and I have no residual pain or issues from it. Fast forward to October 2017 – January 2018 of this year. I have worked with Melissa Parshall, PA-C. As soon as I met her, I felt so comfortable and relaxed. She is so kind and reduced my stress and anxiety all with a giant smile and laugh. I started out with 5 injections in my right knee for pain which eventually led to arthroscopic knee surgery.
